Preparing Final Cut Pro SD for I/O

Standard Def 720x486 29.97 NTSC

For Output using Quicktime file format:

All files should be rendered out using Kona2 NTSC 29.97 10bit or 8bit Uncompressed file codec. This will eliminate the need for us to render a file output.  If you do not have this codec system, please download it from this site –www.aja.com. If you cannot obtain this codec system, render out the files with the NONE codec option selected, but understand that this will require render time in the FCP sequence for output at Digital Jungle.

Important FCP Notice:  We encourage using the KONA2 Video Codec for output to your final SD or HD tape format. Any other file format supported by FCP may result in extended render and session hours. If you are unsure about the format you are working with in FCP, please contact us for further information regarding file codecs and output standards. Please follow all guidelines to ensure that video and audio levels are correct and fall within deliverable standards upon output to tape. (Please refer to the delivery specifications provided by your distributor) Not following distributor’s guidelines may cause tapes to be rejected in QC. While we will make every effort to evaluate the integrity of client material, Digital Jungle will not be held technically responsible for final output of files that have not been captured and rendered in our facility. We strongly suggest using our color correction suites (DaVinci or Pablo) before delivering any masters for broadcast as part of quality control (QC).
